Aftercare:

During tattooing, the skin is broken and a wound is created. With proper care, it can take up to 6 weeks for the tattoo to fully heal. Please treat it like a medical procedure.

Taking good care of your tattoo during this period is important for both your skin and your tattoo.

The First Hours

How you care for your tattoo immediately after the session depends on the type of protection used.

Sterile compress or household film:
Remove it after 3–5 hours.

Self-adhesive transparent film (second skin):
Remove it after 3–5 days, preferably under the shower.

You can take a quick shower with a fresh tattoo using lukewarm water.

Cleaning & Caring for Your Tattoo

Once your tattoo is uncovered:

• Wash your hands before caring for your tattoo.
• Wash the tattoo with antibacterial, unscented soap.
• Gently pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel after washing. If you have time, you can also let it air-dry.
• Apply a thin layer of ointment.

Repeat this process 3–5 times per day.

During the Healing Process

While your tattoo is healing:

• Touch the tattoo as little as possible. Always wash your hands before caring for it.
• Do not scratch the tattoo.
• Do not cover the tattoo with tight or dirty clothing.
• Do not cover the tattoo with plasters or bandages.
• Avoid baths, hot tubs, swimming pools, saunas, and steam rooms.
• Do not expose the healing tattoo to direct sunlight or tanning beds.

After Your Tattoo Has Healed

Tattooed skin remains very sensitive to sunlight even after it has healed.

Always protect your tattoo with sunscreen when exposing it to sunlight.
